Erling Haaland will be available to start for Manchester City at Aston Villa on Saturday, Enzo Maresca confirmed on Thursday morning.
The City manager, speaking at his pre-match press conference, said the striker is fully fit after being handed a day off on Tuesday. Haaland had been seen struggling to walk in the closing stages of last week's narrow league win over Ipswich Town.
"Erling is the only one 100 percent available and the other three - we need to wait for today's session."
The three in question are Mateo Kovacic, Matheus Nunes and Nico O'Reilly. All three have fitness concerns: Kovacic and Nunes went off during the Ipswich match, while O'Reilly suffered a back problem in the warm-up but still started against AEK Athens before being withdrawn in the second half.
A decision on their availability will be taken after Thursday's training session.
"We have a session this afternoon. They can be all available or not. Yesterday, they were all improving and we'll see this afternoon."
City travel to Birmingham seeking an eighth consecutive victory. They go into the game on the back of a 5-1 Champions League league-phase win over AEK Athens on Tuesday, in which Phil Foden scored a hat-trick. Foden has now scored four times in as many days, having also found the net against Ipswich.
Maresca made eight changes for the AEK match, and the manager's selection against Villa will depend on the fitness of the trio. If O'Reilly is not fit to start, Rayan Ait-Nouri could make his first Premier League start of the season. Abdukodir Khusanov is an option at right-back if Nunes is unavailable, while Rico Lewis is pushing for a start after providing two assists for Foden in midweek. Lewis, a 21-year-old academy graduate, made a rare start against the Greek champions.
Josko Gvardiol, meanwhile, continues to play regularly.
Antoine Semenyo is absent. The Ghana international suffered a knee injury off the bench against AEK Athens and will be out for around two months.
City, eight-time Premier League champions, will check on the three players after training before finalising their plans for Villa Park.
